The Hide

Hide is situated on The High Street between the Black Bull and The Green Tree in Fairfax Court.

Hide is Yarm's newest pub (restaurant/wine bar really) and consists of a large bar area and eating area on the ground floor and the main restaurant area on the first floor.

Hide is definately the 'in place' and has taken a lot of trade from the Black Bull. The design is ultra modern and can rival the trendiest wine bars anywhere. Exclusivity is maintained by the price of the drinks with a pint of Kronenbourg costing a wallet straining £3.00

The bar area gets particularly busy on weekend evenings and there is often a queue to get in. When the pub is busy it gets particularly noisey due to its large bare walls. I understand that some refurbishment has taken place to try and improve the accoustics for people trying to dine.

The food in Hide is excellent and even opens early on a morning serving a breakfast menu.

There is a large plasma screen Tv on one of the walls which does show some footy matches.

As ive said not really a pub, certainly the in place, can be a bit clicky, my verdict - take a new bird to impress her (but make her buy your beer)
