Yarm Fair is a tradition that stretches back
to 1214. The Fair has obviously changed over this time from
an event intended for the sale of horses into the amusement/fairground
rides that it is today.
It was not until after the second world war that the fair
changed from mainly cattle, horse and sheep sales into the
"fun fair" we know now.
